MATCH JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Home team per CIF Rules must provide players to keep track of score book, libero book, score board, call lines, and roll/shag balls.

  • Varsity works JV's matches and JV works Varsity's matches - NO EXCEPTIONS

  • Duties will include shagging for the team while warming up.

COACH'S CHECK LIST

  1. Find out when floor will be refinished

  2. Design practice jersey logos

  3. Refs have to fill out forms provided by the school in order to get paid.  Make sure you have them at each match.

  4. Provide libero tracking sheets and scoresheets at each match.

  5. Towel at each match to wipe floors.

  6. Medical kit on hand at practice and at games.

  7. Set up a Senior Night for the last home game/schedule it with ASB (introduce seniors, mention accomplishments, flowers...)

  8. Banquet to hand out awards. order awards early, hold off on banquet until league selection meeting has happened

  9. All tournament selections happen at the end of the season, so make notes about players on other teams.

  10. Secret Santa gift exchange for the holidays.

  11. Form an ASB club and assign a president to approve expenses.

  12. Set up tryout dates after no-contact period.

  13. Enter Purchase Requests before end of school year for next season.

  14. Enter schedule on Arbiter Sports so refs can be assigned to matches.

  15. Choose cross-league matches and scrimmages.

  16. Before school ends, enter tournaments and submit PR's for them to finance.  Follow up on entries over the summer.

  17. Enter schedule on MaxPreps and Home Campus.

  18. Enter scores and stats after each match or tournament.

  19. Design and run/coach practices/ coach tournaments and matches

  20. Fun practice with costumes every Halloween

  21. Maintain an informational web site

  22. Create a schedule of release times from school

  23. Obtain stickers for player's ID cards so they can leave campus early

  24. Select and enter a player of the match on Max Preps when appropriate

  25. Keep a checklist on uniforms

  26. Order uniforms when necessary

  27. Select and order equipment

  28. Hold fund raisers/ donate to program

  29. Keep in touch with returning players and prospective tryout players

  30. Provide information to all players, past and present with new opportunities to compete in our sport
